Verities is conceived, designed, art directed and published by the studio under the subtitle ‘The Anthropology of Modern Culture’.
The non-conformist nature of the articles is reflected in the design of the publication, which playfully negotiates magazine and book typologies, to create striking counterpoints, whilst at the same time questioning the ephemeral nature of magazines.
The curation and organisation of the content give each issue an individual pace and rhythm that conveys its new theme. Bespoke typefaces are designed for each issue and photography is created by the studio or in close collaboration with photographers.
Through high production values – in graphic design and photography – the magazine distinguishes itself from similar magazines of its type and has played an important role in the resurgence of independently published magazines.
